When an Estonian poet and fiction writer and a Belgian journalist meet on top of the most active volcano in the world, how can their writing be anything but explosive?
Whilst living (dangerously) in Indonesia’s cultural capital Yogyakarta, in the shadows of looming Mount Merapi, Anete Kruusmägi and Tom Peeters began creating stories together over plates of nasi goreng and cups of sweet ice tea.
As writers and travellers, they are not ones to wait for inspiration. They go after it with a club, as Jack London instructed them to do. Writing novels and short stories together hasn’t stopped them from exploring the world. Currently, they’re rummaging through the jungles of Central America.
